Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, focused on plant layout, facility design, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) for layout design.
• Experience with simulation software (FlexSim, Arena) for modeling production systems.
• Strong understanding of material flow, ergonomics, and workplace safety standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current plant layout and material flow to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and safety.
• Design and develop optimal factory and workstation layouts using CAD software and simulation tools.
• Conduct capacity planning studies to forecast production needs and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Develop simulation models to evaluate the impact of layout changes and new equipment on production capacity and flow.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate new equipment and processes into existing layouts.
• Define material handling requirements and design efficient systems to support production needs.
• Develop and maintain facility plans, including floor plans, equipment specifications, and utility requirements.
• Support capital expenditure requests by providing data-driven justifications for layout and capacity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards in facility designs.
• Perform ergonomic assessments of workstations to improve employee comfort and safety.
