Job summary

Super Radiator Coils is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design, implement, and improve value stream production cells on the manufacturing floor in Richmond, VA. This hands-on role links sales engineering and production to drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have 4–5 years of experience, a solid grounding in work measurement, line balancing and 5S, plus strong communication across all levels. Willingness to work third shift as needed is important.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional industrial engineering experience.
• Experience with line balancing and 5S.
• Ability to design value stream layouts for production.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift when needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure labor content to create standard staffing and production processes.
• Develop and install mixed model line balances to meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with operators and leadership to design value stream layouts in the production workspace.
• Lead 5S exercises to improve organization and remove frustrations.
• Develop training content with the training manager to ensure continuity of knowledge.
• Investigate and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Identify fixturing opportunities to improve efficiency and quality with manufacturing engineers.
• Create production metrics with operators to drive engagement and success.
