Job summary

Castelion is seeking an industrial engineer to design and scale logistics systems across our manufacturing network. You will own warehouse layouts, material flow, routing, packing, and intersite transportation to ensure on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to translate production needs and facility constraints into practical, data-driven solutions that scale from prototype to high-rate production across multiple sites and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, mechanical, systems engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, warehouse engineering, logistics engineering, manufacturing, or a similar setting.
• Experience designing or improving warehouse layouts, material-flow systems, transportation processes, or inventory operations.
• Experience analyzing operational data and developing capacity, labor, space, routing, or cost models.
• Ability to create process maps, layouts, standard work, and operational documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on experience in warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize warehouse, stockroom, staging, kitting, shipping, receiving, and material-handling layouts.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end material-flow maps across suppliers, receiving, storage, production, and shipping.
• Define internal routing strategies, milk runs, delivery frequencies, and replenishment standards.
• Analyze demand, production schedules, inventory levels, and facility constraints to model capacity.
• Develop multisite transportation plans between facilities, suppliers, test sites, and customers.
• Build transportation models evaluating route frequency, vehicle requirements, and cost.
• Develop packaging, labeling, and protective requirements for components and equipment.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering to establish packaging standards.
• Define reusable container strategies and other material-handling equipment.
• Conduct time studies, warehouse slotting, and bottleneck analyses to improve flow.
• Create and maintain process diagrams, value-stream maps, and standard work.
• Establish inventory storage policies, FIFO/FEFO rules, and secure zones.
• Develop operating standards for receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, staging, and shipping.
• Create logistics performance metrics and lead continuous improvement projects.
