Job summary

Excelitas Technologies, a global photonics leader, seeks an Industrial Engineer in Boulder to support ongoing SAP ERP initiatives, optimize factory layouts, and improve product data integrity. You will collaborate across teams to enhance capacity, cost efficiency, and waste reduction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 4–6 years of hands-on experience with SAP, AutoCAD or BIM, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience: 4–6 years in manufacturing or engineering with factory layouts and digital product data.
ERP Proficiency: hands-on SAP (BOM creation, routing, Work Center).
Engineering Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD or BIM for space planning and layouts.
Analytical Capability: capacity modeling, time-study methods, and statistical data analysis.
Lean Awareness: knowledge of Lean manufacturing; Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering & Capacity Optimization: lead layout planning, space management, and capacity models to reduce bottlenecks.
Product Data Management: manage BOMs, routing, and SAP work centers to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
Digitalization & Operational Excellence: drive system improvements, simulate production changes, and embed Lean in shop-floor projects.
