Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Milpitas, CA, to lead industrialization and introduction of new electronic products and PCBAs. The role focuses on NPI, transition from prototype to mass production, and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced EMS environment.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in electronics manufacturing engineering, strong cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in DFMs, ECO/MCOs, and regulatory compliance (RoHS/REACH).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Tech, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
• 7–10 years of electronics manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product industrialization.
• EMS environment experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI builds from prototype through production ramp-up.
• Manage ECOs/MCOs, BOM analysis, impact assessments, and rework cost evaluations.
• Maintain BOM accuracy through codification management and BOM cleansing activities.
• Lead DFM reviews with customers and internal engineering teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities among Process Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test Engineering teams.
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes to support customer requirements and RFQ assumptions.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including APQP and related records.
