Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead continuous improvement across manufacturing operations in West Branch, MI. The role focuses on Lean manufacturing, BOM/Routings development, and productivity enhancements to reduce costs and waste.

You will collaborate with planning, production, and engineering teams to optimize processes. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology, proficiency with Minitab and Excel, and a track record in manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or closely related discipline.
• Minitab, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access proficiency required.
• ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt desirable but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing and distributing building products a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain all manufacturing BOMs and Routings; establish master and configurable BOMs and Routings.
• Design, develop, and maintain standard work documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Conduct time studies to develop appropriate standards for new and existing products and processes.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel to improve workflow and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Develop and track capacity projections for all work centers and plants; prepare labor and material cost estimates as required.
• Participate in product innovation to ensure cost-effective designs; support management with cost data and production schedules.
• Prepare product/process reports by collecting and summarizing information and trends; communicate findings across the organization.
