Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science or MS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 3-8+ years manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience managing capital projects.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing and distributing building products is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own manufacturing performance within assigned production areas.
  • Develop long-term improvement roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead complex root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Identify, justify, and lead capital investment projects.
  • Develop business cases including ROI, payback, risk, and capacity analysis.
  • Manage projects from concept through startup and validation.
  • Lead value stream improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Design and implement process changes that improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Establish manufacturing standards and best practices.
  • Serve as technical resource for operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Coach and mentor interns and other team members.
  • Lead engineering reviews and provide technical recommendations.
  • Analyze labor utilization, operational costs, and production performance.
  • Drive cost reduction projects with measurable savings targets.
  • Support budget planning and capital forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish manufacturing priorities.
  • Support capacity planning and future growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities.
