Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to independently lead manufacturing improvements, capital projects, and operational excellence programs. You will mentor teams, drive safety, quality, capacity, and cost improvements, and influence cross-functional stakeholders across our distribution and manufacturing footprint.

• Bachelor’s or MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–8+ years manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills; Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance within assigned production areas.
• Develop long-term improvement roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Lead complex root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify, justify, and lead capital investment projects.
• Develop business cases with ROI, payback, risk, and capacity analysis.
• Lead value stream improvements using Lean/Six Sigma.
