Job summary

Broadcom, Inc. in Breinigsville, PA, seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing workflows using lean methods, analytics, and data science. The role focuses on improving yield, predictability of outs, and scaling fab capacity at a 24/7 high-volume facility.

You will lead cross-functional teams, perform time studies, develop capacity models, and build dashboards to monitor performance. Strong engineering analytics and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, line balancing, and time/motion studies in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to build dashboards, capacity models, trigger systems, and predictive tools using analytical software such as JMP, Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerBI.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations, electronics manufacturing, or semiconductor wafer fab processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective cross-functional communication for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operations analysis, time studies to identify bottlenecks and standardize cycle times across manufacturing areas.
• Lead Lean initiatives and 5S, Kanban, and line-balancing to reduce waste and improve WIP flow.
• Drive throughput and out-predictability to handle higher product volumes and complexity.
• Create and maintain capacity models and discrete-event simulations to forecast tool utilization and cycle times.
• Design visual trigger charts and dashboards to provide real-time feedback to shift supervisors and engineers.
• Extract and analyze data from SECS/GEM, MES, and databases to develop predictive control metrics.
