Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Area Transformation Industrial Engineer to drive Lean transformation and improve throughput in the Effectors portfolio. You will lead labor performance analyses, value stream mapping, and capacity planning across multiple factories.

The role focuses on process improvement, strategic investments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable gains in efficiency and throughput for critical defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 2+ years
• Ability to obtain interim security clearance prior to start date
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
• Experience applying Lean, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance

Responsibilities

• Support factory leadership and partners to advance Lean Transformation initiatives
• Identify strategic investment opportunities and lead critical projects
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify throughput constraints
• Calculate resource utilization to improve efficiency
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to meet cost, quality, and on-time goals
• Create process flows, value streams, and CAD drawings to illustrate manufacturing processes
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps on factory capacity and technology insertion
• Support program proposals and Make/Buy/Where analyses
