Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an Ind Engineer II – Labor Management Systems to configure and use labor tools across the distribution network, driving productivity with engineered standards and actionable data.

The role focuses on establishing labor standards, identifying savings, and creating reports to inform leaders. You will partner with warehouse teams, assist with new initiative data needs, and travel up to half the time. This is a hybrid position with in-office and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field from a 4-year accredited College or University.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using engineered work measurement methods (such as MOST, MSD, Time Study, MTM).
• Ability to estimate time for tasks using time measurement devices.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate process and technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Establishes labor standards and maintains labor management system for accurate goal times.
• Identifies savings opportunities and defines process improvement projects to reduce costs.
• Creates and maintains reports to drive labor productivity.
• Educates warehouse operations on standards and use of labor-management data.
• Assists initiative owners with data collection and analysis for new initiatives.
• Performs root cause analysis and develops data analysis tools for labor planning and slotting.
• Travels up to 50% of the time.
