Actalent is seeking an Industrial Engineer in West Dundee, IL, on a contract-to-hire basis. The role focuses on developing and industrializing manufacturing processes, procuring resources, and calculating costs while collaborating with global and local teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering with a strong focus on process improvement and manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable specialized training preferred; extensive relevant experience and proven expertise may substitute for the degree.
• 5+ years of engineering work experience in a related industry, including at least 2 years with injection molding product methodology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and industrialize all necessary manufacturing processes within assigned projects, ensuring robust and efficient production methods.
• Plan, procure, and implement manufacturing resources including machines, fixtures, tools, and other equipment required for production.
• Calculate manufacturing costs for processes such as injection molding and assembly, providing cost estimates to support decisions.
• Support PFMEAs to identify and mitigate potential process risks.
• Create process flow charts and production layouts for NPI to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
• Create and maintain SAP production data views including routings, BOM, equipment, and work centers.
