Job summary

HARTING Americas seeks an Industrial Engineer to drive development, industrialization and introduction of manufacturing processes within our Product Development team at our Elgin, IL facility.

You will create process flows, layouts and SAP views, assessing capacity, costs and investment needs while collaborating with global teams and travelers. The role emphasizes hands-on tool knowledge and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent; extensive experience may substitute.
• 5+ years engineering experience in a related industry with at least 2 years in injection molding.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications; AutoCAD.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Develop and industrialize manufacturing processes for assigned projects.
• Plan, procure and implement manufacturing resources (machines, fixtures, tools).
• Create process flow charts and production layouts for NPI.
• Create production views in SAP (routing, BOM, equipment, work center).
• Collaborate with local engineers to analyze capacity and investment costs.
