Job summary

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support operations in Arlington, Texas, servicing General Motors. This role analyzes and improves material flow, warehouse operations, inventory management, and production support processes within a high-volume automotive environment.

Partner with operations leadership to design efficient processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced functions and data analysis)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve material flow, inventory movement, and production support processes.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage locations, workstations, and assembly support areas.
• Develop and maintain PFEP methodologies.
• Conduct time studies, labor analysis, and productivity evaluations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support line-side delivery planning and implementation.
• Create visual management tools and standard work documentation.
• Utilize data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with process mapping, workflow development, and operational design projects.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma activities.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer teams to support business objectives.
• Develop reports, presentations, and performance metrics for management review.
