Job description

• Anaylzes and evaluates operational processes, workflows, and systems; identifies inefficiencies and areas for improvement; develops and implements solutions to optimize performance and reduce costs in the most economical and effective manner.
• Applies industrial engineering practices including process mapping, time-and-motion studies, statistical analysis, and simulation modeling; collects and interprets operational data to support evidence-based decision making.
• Oversees comprehensive annual facility condition assessment program and manages all associated data to identify, plan, and prioritize short-and long-term facility preservation and renewal investments.
• Works closely with University stakeholders to ensure collaborative planning, prioritization and coordination of annual capital preservation needs.
• Serves as a key strategist for Facilities Management (FM) senior leadership to identify, prioritize, and lead initiatives to optimize performance and ensure responsible resource allocation. Collaborates closely with FM finance team to help define options for budget reallocations or reductions.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to determine project needs, scope, budgets, and timelines;establishes performance criteria and generates cost estimates; communicates findings and recommendations clearly to all levels of the organization.

• Leverages disparate data sources and digital tools to inform decisions related to resource optimization, process improvement, service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools, and explores and utilizes new technologies as they become available
• Manages assigned projects from initiation through completion; coordinates with FM operations, maintenance and engineering staff, Planning, Design and Construction professionals, contractors, IT professionals and other related stakeholders; ensures project compliance with established goals, budget, schedule, and University standards.
• Develops, plans, and monitors project budgets; determines fiscal requirements for process improvement initiatives; identifies risks and mitigation strategies.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of operational standards and guidelines to support future planning, design, and continuous improvement efforts across facility operations.
• Prepares reports and analyses to document findings, progress, trends, and recommendations.
• Clearly and effectively presents project objectives, analysis findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and departmental/university leadership.
• Works with FM leadership to establish a defined set of performance metrics and develops means and methods to track and report data over time; helps to identify corrective actions to improve performance and reverse unfavorable trends.
• Supervises staff, including hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration; manages work schedules and approves timecards; provides professional development opportunities; distributes and reviews work.
