Job summary

AMAX, a leading GPU-accelerated IT infrastructure provider in Fremont, is hiring an assembler to construct components, verify connections, and document serial numbers in our shop floor system. The role includes basic equipment maintenance, operating test and scanner equipment, and supporting hardware repair tasks as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or higher and experience in the electronics or computer industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by verifying connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Scan component serial numbers into the shop floor system for tracking.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs) as needed.
• Operate test equipment, testers, scanners, computers and related devices.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary.

Job description

• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies

• Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking purpose

• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.), where applicable.

• Operates test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.

• Repair computer hardware and servers as required

• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary

• High school or college diploma

• Electronic or computer industry experience

• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes, know how to handle hand tools and light power tools.

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, solid communication skills both verbal and written.

• Able to stand for long periods of time, able to input data into a computer and work with computer screen for long periods of time.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, bending, squat, reaching with hands and arms.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
