Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment, partnering with a leading manufacturing client, is seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer in the Chattanooga, TN area to improve efficiency through Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven process optimization. You will collaborate across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and optimize OEE.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering and 2+ years of related experience; strong analytical and CI skills; US work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience.
• Strong data analysis and process-improvement skills.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing efficiency through process optimization and Lean initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, time studies, and line balancing.
• Improve throughput, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Specify, source, and implement manufacturing tooling and equipment.
• Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support new product launches and production ramp-ups.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and production issues.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Manufacturing, Process, Industrial or similar Engineering experience.
• Strong process improvement and data analysis skills.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Client is not able to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa now or in the future.
