Job summary

CalPortland in Oro Grande, CA is seeking an Electronics Technician for day shift duties. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and calibrating CEMS and related instrumentation, with coordination with Production for critical needs and upgrades. OT may be scheduled as required.

Typical responsibilities include diagnostics, programming tasks, and ensuring safe, compliant operations across plant systems. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work rotating shifts in a cement

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Must lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, inspects, and repairs CEMS components with precision.
• Performs preventive maintenance on analyzers and process equipment.
• Coordinates with Production to identify needs for instrumentation upgrades.
• Executes repairs safely with minimal supervision.
• Calibrates, designs, and tests electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
• Performs automation and programming tasks as assigned.
• Uses diagnostic tools and instruments to verify operation.
