Job summary

Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply seeks a full-time Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain and optimize our industrial laundry equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

You'll troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in CMMS. The role demands hands-on skills, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working in a fast-paced facility with a four-day 10-hour shift schedule and overtime options.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field preferred.
• Experience with AC/DC motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, 480V three-phase systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CMMS and safety standards (LOTO, NFPA 70E).
• Willingness to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on washers, dryers, ironers, conveyors, boilers, air compressors, and pumps.
• Read schematics and ladder logic; install and troubleshoot electrical controls up to 480V three-phase.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and maintain equipment history.
• Follow safety policies, LOTO, and NFPA 70E compliance; participate in safety inspections.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment commissioning projects.
• Operate forklifts and other maintenance equipment; travel between facilities as needed.
