Potters Industries LLC in Norwood, NY seeks a full-time Operations Technician to safely and efficiently operate process equipment.

The role requires strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and may include preventative maintenance, basic welding, pipefitting, and PLC-related tasks. Shifts rotate and overtime may be required in a safety-first, manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• One year of experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate the process safely and reliably.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental rules.
• Communicate maintenance needs to other departments.
• Maintain up-to-date files and share timely information with coworkers and supervisors.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Possess/wield craft skills such as welding, pipefitting, and general repair.
• Possess knowledge to program and troubleshoot control circuits and safety systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints; work with fabrication and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain equipment and ensure environmental permits compliance.
• Manage R&M purchases and budget alignment.
