Job summary

Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrician Technician for a direct-hire role at JH Rough Packing, a Daisey Field Company, in Sandusky, OH. The Electrician Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical systems across the hog processing facility to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will read schematics, test circuits, perform preventative maintenance, and respond quickly to downtime events while following LOTO, OSHA, GMPs and food-safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related industrial electrical experience.
• Electrical trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Knowledge of AC/DC systems, motor controls, PLCs, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.
• Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Food-processing/industrial manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot labeling equipment, printers, banders, scales, motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC systems, motor controls, PLCs, hardwired systems, and industrial controls.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and prints.
• Test electrical equipment for proper voltage, amperage, continuity, and operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect equipment to identify potential issues.
• Respond promptly to production calls involving electrical or equipment issues.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical and electromechanical components.
• Follow electrical codes, LOTO, OSHA, GMPs, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and keep tools/work areas clean.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Production staff.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
