Job summary

Englobal a Gulf Island Company in Houston seeks a contract Electrician to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical systems in an industrial setting. The position is contract/temporary with an estimated workload of 2–7 weeks.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, ensuring code compliance, mentoring helpers, and coordinating with team members and clients. Requires 3+ years experience and ability to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an industrial electrician
• Experience with industrial electrical systems
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of NEC and state/local codes
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain electrical systems, equipment and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in a timely manner
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ensure compliance with national, state and local electrical codes
• Mentor helpers and provide guidance as needed
• Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment in good working order
• Work collaboratively with team members, contractors and clients
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
