Job summary

Englobal a Gulf Island Company is seeking an Electrician Helper to support electricians in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electrical systems within an industrial setting in Houston. The position is a contract/temporary engagement with an estimated workload of 2-7 weeks.

The role requires 1+ years of industrial electrical experience, familiarity with drawings and NEC/state codes, and the ability to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years as an industrial electrician helper.
• Previous experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures including conduit, wire duct and cable tray systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with national, state and local electrical codes.
• Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment in good working order.
• Work collaboratively with team members, contractors and clients.
