Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for the New Madrid Power Plant maintenance team.

The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment across an industrial setting with a safety-first culture. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and at least five years of heavy industrial electrical repair experience, plus an approved apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship completed or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Five+ years of heavy industrial electrical repair experience.
• Ability to pass applicable pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and install motors, switchgear, control circuits, generators, lighting, batteries, chargers, inverters, and other industrial electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical prints, sketches, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Inspect electrical equipment and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
