Job summary

Fiberon is seeking an Electrician for its plastic extrusion plant in Meridian, Idaho. The role installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient operation and supports preventive maintenance.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot production equipment, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams while adhering to OSHA and NFPA standards. The position requires 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a journeyman

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; journeyman license preferred.
• 3–5 years industrial electrical experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in production equipment, control panels, and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and installations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable electrical safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, and repairs.
• Assist with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support after‑hours maintenance as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
