Fiberon in Meridian, Idaho is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in its plastic extrusion plant. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot production equipment, and support preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years industrial electrical experience, familiarity with PLCs and VFDs, and knowledge of local codes; journeyman license preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or journeyman license preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures per code.
• Troubleshoot production equipment, control panels, and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, lighting, and power distribution.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with maintenance/engineering to upgrade equipment.
• Ensure OSHA/NFPA and safety regulations compliance.
• Maintain records of work, inspections, and repairs.
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and after-hours maintenance.
