Job summary

Trillium Staffing seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician / Controls Programmer for a particle board facility in Northern Idaho. You will perform electrical maintenance and PLC/HMI programming to support automated production equipment, including presses, conveyors, motors, drives, and sensors.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial electrical work with strong Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI knowledge, and the ability to work in dusty, hot, and noisy environments on a rotating shift with overtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• At least 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, VFDs, 480V three-phase power, motor controls, and industrial networks.
• Experience in wood products, pulp and paper, or particle board manufacturing preferred.
• Comfortable in dusty, hot, noisy environments and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on automated production equipment.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician / Controls Programmer for a particle board manufacturing facility in Northern Idaho.

This role combines hands‑on electrical maintenance with PLC/HMI programming to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated production equipment, including presses, dryers, conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, PLC programming, VFD configuration, automation upgrades, and ensuring compliance with electrical and plant safety standards. The position works in a demanding industrial environment with a rotating shift schedule and may require overtime and on‑call support.

Competitive compensation based on experience, overtime and shift premiums, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) match, paid time off, and tool and safety allowances are offered. $49-$55 depending on experience. Possible per diem if relocation is need and determined a good fit.

Qualifications:

• -Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical training, 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, and at least 3 years of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
