Job summary

General Shale is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to maintain, troubleshoot and improve plant electrical systems and automated equipment. You will support production through preventative maintenance, system upgrades and on-call technical support.

Key responsibilities include wiring, diagnosing PLC-controlled equipment, and supporting automation initiatives, with on-call rotations including weekends. A strong NEC background and 5+ years of industrial experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electronics or electrical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Experience with VFDs, HMIs and PLCs.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley automation and programming: RSLogix 500/5000, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk ME, RSLinx.
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
• Industrial electrician experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic wiring and installation of industrial electrical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical systems and automated machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical and control systems.
• Modify and update software and equipment to support operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and controls.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, including off-shifts and weekends.
• Work primarily with control systems and software.
