Job summary

Viskase Companies, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrician “A” for our Loudon electrical maintenance team. You will support preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, and automated systems in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong industrial electrical experience, ability to read ladder logic, and work with Allen-Bradley PLCs. Overtime and weekend work are required to keep plant equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

Requires 4 years of industrial electrical experience or equivalent via apprenticeship or vocational program plus 2 years.
Apprenticeship completion plus 2 years of industrial electrical experience also acceptable.
Vocational program completion plus 2 years of industrial electrical experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to plant maintenance needs.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including motors, relays, cables, and sensors.
Work with PLCs and industrial control systems; read ladder logic and diagnose hardware/software issues.
Calibrate instrumentation and troubleshoot VFDs, servo motors, and control panels.
Support preventive maintenance programs and plant projects/upgrades.
Follow safety procedures and quality programs.
