Job summary

HARIBO of America, Inc. in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin is seeking an Industrial Electrician to wire, assemble, repair, test and install electrical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot AB PLCs and I/O modules, and collaborate with maintenance and production to minimize downtime and uphold safety standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 3+ years of manufacturing experience; the role may require off-shift work

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (HSED/GED).
• A minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
• Must be flexible with off-shift work schedule and overtime/weekends as needed.
• Knowledge of AB PLC processors required (CompactLogix and ControlLogix preferred).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings and PLC troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of the packaging and/or processing equipment is necessary
• Requires strong mechanical aptitude.
• Requires the ability to work in confined spaces.
• Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with percentages, and have basic knowledge of algebra as well as make fine adjustments in equipment settings.
• Requires teamwork ability; works well with others and communicates effectively with all associates.
• Requires the ability to train and coach others for success.

Responsibilities

• Wiring, assembling, repairing, testing and installing electrical components in assigned area.
• Read blueprints, drawings and schematics to predict, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions.
• Develop procedures and work instructions including diagrams and manuals for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Work with and troubleshoot AB PLC processors and input/output modules.
• Diagnose root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and productive equipment operation.
• Perform electrical work to industry code including transformer and motor wiring, wiring components, terminating cables and routing cables.
• Maintain high-stress, collaborative work environment with professional communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
