Job summary

Reading Truck Group seeks a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support its industrial manufacturing operations in Reading. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment across our facilities.

Responsibilities include wiring, installation, conduit work, medium voltage switching, and reading/ updating schematics, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an electrician in an industrial environment is required.
• Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship or three of the last five years as a journey-level electrician in industry.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and computer-based equipment including programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to climb, stand, bend and lift heavy objects in confined spaces.
• Work in an industrial environment with fumes, dust, vibration, noise and high voltage with proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electromechanical, electrical control, lighting, wiring and related equipment.
• Install new electrical and electronic equipment according to National Electrical Code and standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Prepare and install conduits and wiring through them.
• Perform medium voltage switching (600 volts) and operate generators as needed.
• Read and update diagrams and prints, maintaining accuracy of changes.
