Job summary

ProAmpac in Battle Creek, MI seeks an experienced industrial Journeyman Electrician to join our Maintenance team responsible for electrical repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on printing, laminating, and related packaging equipment.

You will diagnose equipment problems from PLCs and control systems, work with CMMS, and coordinate with mechanics, technicians, and operators to minimize downtime. Applicants must hold MI electrical license and have 2–4 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Electrical license issued by the State of Michigan or Township is required.
2–4 years of manufacturing experience with relevant equipment and components.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code and industrial electrical equipment/methods.
Understanding of Allen-Bradley controls and PLC operation/wiring.
Solid-state electronics knowledge and trouble‑shooting ability.
Experience with electronic board troubleshooting and drive systems.

Responsibilities

Respond to trouble calls on industrial equipment and perform electrical and electronic repairs, installations, and adjustments.
Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, ladder diagrams and logic diagrams.
Coordinate with mechanics, technicians, operators to minimize downtime.
Perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
Use CMMS to manage work orders and documentation, ensure policy compliance.
Maintain clean, safe work environment in food packaging setting.
