Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking an experienced industrial electrician for our Kent, Ohio facility.

The 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) focuses on maintaining and improving electrical and automated systems, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate will diagnose complex faults with root-cause analysis and work independently with production and maintenance teams to keep operations safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on PLC programming, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of motor controllers, switching systems, and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, electrical systems, and building services.
• Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controllers, fieldbus systems, and electrical controls.
• Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and quality requirements.
