Job summary

AMG Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrician to service and troubleshoot electrical equipment in heavy industrial facilities. You will support our in‑house control panel workshop and maintain a robust benefits package. Dayton, OH area candidates preferred; full-time with growth opportunities.

Requirements include a related degree or apprenticeship and at least 5 years of industrial experience, plus PLC, HMI, and NEC knowledge. Strong reading of schematics is essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and training through an Associate’s degree, Apprenticeship or Certification Program in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in industrial or plant facilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with PLC, HMI programming and industrial networking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures per job specs and codes.
• Test electrical systems and circuits using meters and scopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Repair and install electrical devices and connect wires to breakers and transformers.
• Install electrical segments in equipment such as wiring, switchgears and motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including PLCs, transducers and VFDs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Program logic controls (PLC) for proper equipment operation.
