Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support and optimize plant electrical and automation systems in a high-volume industrial environment. You will focus on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical, PLC, and control systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and/or controls engineering, and the ability to work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings.
• Experience with PLCs, AC/DC motor control, and electrical diagrams.
• Valid electrician license and ability to work long shifts/overnight.
• Diploma or apprenticeship in electrical trades.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance on PLCs and AC/DC motor control.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
• Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
• Review maintenance work orders and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
