Job summary

Watco Transloading in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems while ensuring safety and code compliance. The candidate should have hands-on electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The position requires a Journeyman Electrician license and a High School diploma or GED, with on-site responsibilities at the Greens Port Industrial Park location.

Qualifications

• NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E and local codes knowledge.
• Identify and diagnose electrical problems with test equipment.
• Lay out, install, and test wiring, conduit, and panels.
• Read blueprints and schematics to plan installations.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E and local codes.
• Identify and diagnose electrical problems using test equipment like multimeters and power analyzers.
• Plan, lay out, install, and test wiring, conduit, and panels.
• Read blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installations.
• Measure and install conduit and distribute wiring with attention to loads and grounding.
• Maintain safety practices and PPE, including LOTO and JHAs.
