Job summary

West Fraser in McDavid, FL is hiring an Industrial-Manufacturing Electrician Level 1 for our on-site mill. You will join the Electrical Supervisor and support 24/7 operations with PLC programming, wiring, and system upgrades.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience, and a valid driver's license. Overtime and rotating shifts are expected.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
3–5 years industrial electrician experience.
Valid driver's license.
Willing to work rotating shifts and weekends.
Background check, reference check, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Test electrical systems and circuits with meters for safety.
Inspect systems for hazards and code compliance.
Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade PLCs.
Read and update instrumentation diagrams and schematics.
Troubleshoot and program AC VFDs; maintain power distribution.
Work from drawings to install electrical equipment.
Coordinate with vendors for parts and updates.
Operate power lift equipment as needed.
Be available for overtime to support 24/7 operations.
