Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Blue Rapids facility is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance to prevent downtime. The role requires experience with electrical/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and a strong safety mindset.

The position offers a 12-hour rotating schedule (2-2-3) from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical trouble shooting skills.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery internal and external to the plant and inspecting equipment for potential downtime causes.
• Installing new equipment.
• Recording maintenance and repairs in a CMMS (MP2 / SAP) and completing reports and work orders on time.
• Collaborating with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Adhering to safety regulations and procedures including lockout/tag out procedures and safety program.
• Cleaning up all areas of responsibility to maintain a safe work environment.
• Working in a team environment with fellow employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Following any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor including but not limited to assisting mechanics or production operators as needed.
• Assisting Process Controls Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as needed.
