Job summary

Fiberon is seeking an Electrician for its Meridian, Idaho plastic extrusion facility. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, troubleshoot production equipment, and support preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, knowledge of PLCs and VFDs, and the ability to read schematics while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or journeyman electrician license preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in production equipment, control panels, and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and installations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable electrical safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, and repairs.
• Assist with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support after-hours maintenance as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
