Job summary

The Idaho Forest Group is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain, repair and install electrical systems across mill equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and boost productivity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and commissioning industrial electrical devices (motors/controls, HMIs, ethernet networks).
• 1+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and commissioning control devices (proximity sensors, limit switches, relays, solenoids).
• Familiarity with PLCs; ability to read/modify ladder logic.
• Proficiency with pneumatic/hydraulic components and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and effective communication.
• Must pass hair follicle test, pre-employment physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Comply with rules, regulations and JSAs.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
• Install, repair and maintain plant machinery/equipment for safe operation.
• Use CMMS to document all maintenance work orders.
• Assist in maintaining critical electrical spare parts inventory.
• Support root cause analysis to reduce repeat failures.
• Assist in vendor performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with millwrights on mechanical repairs.
