Job summary

IGS Energy is seeking a hands-on electrician for field-based work installing, supporting, and commissioning industrial electrical systems for RNG and anaerobic digester projects across Ohio and Indiana. You will operate in active construction environments at agricultural and industrial facilities, with travel as needed and weekends at home where possible.

The role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and the ability to read industrial drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical trades, with industrial or heavy commercial construction experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, and basic instrumentation.
• Ability to read and work from industrial electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with NEC and general industrial electrical code requirements.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and support of industrial electrical systems for RNG and anaerobic digester construction projects.
• Install electrical equipment including: Conduit systems (rigid, EMT, PVC-coated, underground), Power and control wiring (AC/DC), Junction boxes, disconnects, panels, MCCs, VFDs, motors, and instrumentation, Pull, terminate, and label power, control, and signal cabling.
• Assist with commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of new electrical systems.
• Interpret and work from industrial electrical drawings, including one-lines, schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and vendor cut sheets.
• Follow direction from the Electrical Foreman to execute work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the construction schedule.
• Assist in identifying and resolving constructability issues in the field.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, testers, and electrical trade-specific tools as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, jobsite safety rules, and applicable electrical codes.
• Support other construction activities as needed to advance the project.
