Job summary

Riggs Industries is seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to local codes and project specs.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting, with occasional travel to sites. A technical training program or apprenticeship is preferred and 2–4 years of relevant experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and safety manuals.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with commercial/industrial electrical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform new or modified electrical installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, bend, wire, and install conduit systems.
• Install and connect lighting fixtures, power equipment, and grounding systems.
• Test electrical systems and components for continuity, compatibility, and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems and equipment.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
