Job summary

PIM Brands, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join the Maintenance team at the Somerset, New Jersey site. The role focuses on keeping facilities and production equipment in safe, working order to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with plant management and supervisors. Strong PLC and sensor troubleshooting skills are required and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Electrical training is strongly preferred from a trade or vocational school.
• 4 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial complex is necessary.
• Must have prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment.
• Must be familiar with troubleshooting and programming techniques for PLCs, electromechanical sensors and controllers.
• Thorough knowledge of automated machinery operations, pump theory, pneumatic and hydraulic principles.
• Must have experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics and be able to work safely with low and high voltage circuits.
• Basic knowledge of steam, hot water, compressed air and refrigeration systems is needed.
• Must provide your own tools and lockable toolbox with basic electrical testers.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical problems
• Provide preventive, predictive and repair maintenance
• Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
• Follow GMP rules
• Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs
• Plan and execute assignments within supervisor guidance
• Install equipment as directed
• Immediately report electrical or equipment problems to supervision
• Ensure maintenance of electrical equipment complies with GMP and HAACP guidelines
