Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC in Maryland is seeking an experienced industrial electrician to install, maintain and repair plant electrical systems. The role involves motors, panels, lighting, control units, and related equipment using AC/DC power and standard hand tools to ensure safe, continuous operation.

The position requires welding capability, ability to read schematics, PPE compliance, and work with mobile equipment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in industrial electrical repair and installation.
• Ability to weld and demonstrate electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; HS diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and work area for hazards and document inspection.
• Install, maintain and repair equipment such as motors, panels, generating equipment, lighting circuits, control units and related gear.
• Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams; use hand, power and measuring tools.
• Diagnose and correct trouble in electrical and electronic units and controls.
• Repair and maintain recording and control instruments.
• Climb poles to string lines and perform repairs.
• Record repair information and report to supervision.
