Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC (SGI) is hiring an industrial electrician to install, maintain and repair diverse rock-processing equipment across our site. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, interpret blueprints, and perform welding and mechanical duties to ensure continuous production.

Ideal candidates bring strong electrical repair skills, ability to read schematics, and comfort working outdoors in a mine/mill environment; HS diploma required and prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in industrial electrical repair and installation.
• Must be able to weld and demonstrate electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity required; able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and work area for hazards; keep area clean.
• Install, maintain and repair motors, panels, and control systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams; use tools accordingly.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic units and controls.
• Operate forklifts or other mobile equipment as needed.
• Report needed maintenance to supervision and document on work orders.
