Job summary

AWS/CES is seeking an Industrial Electrician to support our automotive manufacturing client in Warren, MI. This full-time role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of plant electrical systems with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues via schematics and ladder diagrams, performing wiring and upgrades, and supporting preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to pass an electrician aptitude test.
Strong experience with industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and electrical systems with minimal supervision.
Perform electrical wiring, installations, and upgrades based on schematics and documentation.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic system troubleshooting.
Install and run conduit, wire-ways, panels, and power drops.
Build, label, and wire control panels and electrical boxes.
Update drawings/prints and recommend spare parts or system improvements.
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to support production needs.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
