Qualifications

• Must have completed an electrician apprentice program or equivalent and meet local/state/national codes requirements.
• Alternative options include two years of journeyman electrician experience or 8,000 hours of electrical experience with proof.
• Additional pathways include trainee/apprentice programs with experience or willingness to complete a modified curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced and critical electrical maintenance and construction work throughout the plant.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints; document and edit errors.
• Use burning/welding torch, arc weld, and braze as required.
• Bend and install conduit, fittings, enclosures, switches, and disconnects; pull wire per codes.
• Determine sources of electrical trouble and correct them; ensure equipment operates safely.
• Train Apprentices and other wage workers in their area as directed by supervision.
