Job summary
SmartLam North America seeks an Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in a high‑production facility in Dothan, AL. You will handle conduit, wiring, control components, and lighting, diagnosing up to 600 volts and repairing downtime issues.
The role requires shifting schedules, willingness to work weekends/holidays, and strong safety adherence. Training on day shift precedes swing shift deployment, with collaboration across maintenance and operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete formal training such as electrical apprenticeships or trade school.
- Proven experience as an electrician.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting with test instruments.
- Proficient with MS Office for record keeping.
- Ability to work with mathematics in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Observe safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Keep machines and equipment running smoothly.
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems.
- Repair electrical machinery, motors, drives, and PLC controls.
- Diagnose downtime causes and fix faults promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and report issues.
