Job summary

JLL in Pontiac, Michigan is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Electrician to maintain the facility's electrical infrastructure for an automotive production environment. A journeyman electrical license and strong troubleshooting skills are required.

You will install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair high- and low-voltage systems, following NFPA 70E safety standards. The role includes indoor/outdoor work, safety-first practices, and collaboration with the facility team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State journeyman card or equivalent electrical license.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years electrical trade experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and arc flash PPE requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors/indoor in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and alter electrical services, equipment, and controls using properly sized wire, conduit, and raceways.
• Diagnose and repair high- and low-voltage systems per NFPA 70E standards with PPE.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather, following safety protocols.
• Keep work area and equipment safe, clean, and organized.
• Operate hand and power tools and test instruments; maintain equipment.
• Report repairs needed or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Support other trades and coordinate with facility team as needed.
