Job summary

Premier Tech in Montgomery, AL is seeking an electro-mechanical technician to support wiring motors, sensors, control panels and I/O validation, adapting to varied automation projects.

You will review schematics, install devices, route wires, and build remote consoles while applying 5S in daily housekeeping. The role requires a technical degree and electrician experience; a forklift license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree from a Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, or equivalent program – preferred.
• Three years of industrial or commercial electrician experience.
• Ability to read internal and external electrical schematics.
• Ability to read pneumatic schematics.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Proficiency with hand tools, drill motors, soldering guns, pipe benders and threaders and jig saws.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing schematics and customer specifications.
• Print validation and redlining.
• Troubleshooting and I/O validation.
• Installation of photoeyes, proximity sensors, light curtains, etc.
• Wiring motors, electrical and pneumatic devices.
• Applying conduit and trough to machines.
• Routing wires and cables through conduit and trough.
• Using electrical and mechanical hand tools as needed.
• Building control panel inserts.
• Building and wiring remote consoles.
• General housekeeping and department maintenance by implementing 5S methodology
